Second Vlog trip to London. This time round I brought a friend/photographer James to help me out on the shoot. "But just to make things clear. I was not feeling very well. I had a flu coming up and it got worst later in the day." That out the way. I set up a shoot in London again with a model who I had perviously had a shoot with, last year during the summer. Call Karolina.
I told her before I went up that I was doing a Vlog and was happy to be in it. Plus my friend didn't mind that much. So we left at 8:30am in the morning for a 4 hour bus journey. So we got to London about 1pm. I didn't spend too much time getting "B'roll" like last time. Just want to get the parts to where we was going to do the location for the shoot.
We decide too do the photoshoot round Saint Paul's Cathedral, which was a great location to do the shoot. Me and James had some time too look round and grab something too eat before we met Karolina. We had too wait for a little while because she did get lost a little. So we grabbed a quick coffee before we started shooting.
We decided to start the shoot on the Millennium Bridge and work our way up to the Cathedral. She didn't mind that much to shoot when there are so many people round. During the shoot I had ask James to get me some film for my Vlog. He ended up doing a great job, which you can see in the video.
It was a really fun shoot to do. Plus we didn't have to walk very far to locations. I am very pleased what I got. Plus I tried something different out. Using my 50mm a lot more rather than my 85mm. I am beginning to take a liking in wider focal lengths. I am hoping to get a 35mm by the end of March.
After shoot we all went and grabbed something to eat in Chinatown. It was so busy and the place was so alive. We had to find a restaurant where it wasn't too busy and the waiting times are not a hour long. I found it wasn't the best food I had but it was something. The place where I wanted to go was super busy. It a restaurant where my grandad and dad would go to when they come to London.
After the food we went to the train station where Karolina can catch her train back home. Me and James had an hour too kill so we went to a local bar near to the Bus Station. My feet were killing me by this point. We got to the pub and it was nice to relax for a bit. I only had one drink which is enough for me.
The bus journey back wasn't the best. I was so ill by that point and the bus driver was an Idiot. He started by saying he had a problem with nail varnish that the smell made him sick! So the Idiot ended up opening all the windows, shouting at other drivers, switched off the electrics and heating. I was so ill to get angry at the Idiot. It was like at 1am in the morning. I couldn't charge my phones at all. But lucky the bus driver swapped with another. But it was only 30 minutes left of the journey.
Overall It was a great day. I just wished I was 100% well rather than being ill. But I had to get something out of a great day. Hopefully on the next one I won't be ill and get a lot more video for you guys. Hope you like the Vlog of this trip and see you on the next one.
